Scam Details : | I use Tradekey.com to find a supplier for Iphones and other electronics. I received an email from TradeKey.com - x1lifang@hotmail.com (signed up by David Su) requesting additional information about my needs. I started to exchange many emails with David Su and after we agreed about the product, price, shipping etc, he requested payment of 1.000 USD by Western Union. After that he was to ship the product and send me the tracking numbers. I send a payment on Monday August 9th, 2010 via Western Union to Xiao Qiang Li as per David Su's request. I immediately sent Western Union confirmation to David Su, he confirmed to me via e-mail that he received the money after his confirmation, he also requested from me to wait for approx three hours so that CSR department will have enough time to came back from lunch. I waited for David Su's e-mail response for over 8 hours but reply never came nor has he connected to MSN Messenger ever again. I checked Tradekey.com contact information and called the number however operator has informed me that, that number did not exist. I compared ALL information on Tradekey.com profile about his company again and it was the same information that I received from first email contact. I compared : company name, contact information, CEO name, products, etc. However after I reported this company as scam to Tradekey.com .... the contact information and other webpage information started to change quickly. I also wrote a letter to TradeKey.com about the need to re-evaluate their security system (which must protect the customers of any scams) because this company's profile points were 3.000 points and based on that I took the decision to deal with this company. As my wife said .... money is not going to come back, however it is important to inform everyone in order for this from happening to others. Internet is high and advanced technology however SCAM is rampant and much needs to be done in order to protect consumers. Please, do not hesitate contact me if additional information is needed. Best regards, cmokili@hotmail.com |
